Overview
Admiral Farragut Academy is a private, college-prep, boarding school serving students in grades 8-12. Located in St. Petersburg, Florida, the 5- and 7-day boarding school attracts students from an average of 27 countries and 17 U.S. states. Students benefit from a challenging and engaging academic curriculum, such as foreign languages (Mandarin Chinese and Spanish), STEM, Marine Science at the campus' waterfront, hands-on field trips, and more. Every course is taught using a strong foundation of character education. Students can also choose to participate in signature programs such as Aviation (including Dual Enrollment with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University), all levels of Scuba Diving, Sailing, Engineering, and NJROTC. With a 100% college acceptance rate and millions earned in scholarships each year, Farragut graduates succeed in college as organized, accountable, self-disciplined, and respectful critical thinkers who understand that dreams and hard work go hand in hand. Summary: Students can choose their curriculum to achieve their personal level of academic excellence. 29 Honors 18 Advanced Placement 3 Dual Enrollment AP Capstone Diploma ESL to help with reading, writing, and speaking English Students can also choose to be involved in multiple Signature Programs. ✈️ Aviation, 500+ Aviation solo flying endorsements and private pilot certificates AP Capstone STEM Scuba, 315+ Scuba certifications earned including open water, advanced open water, rescue diver, master diver, and divemaster Leadership ⛵ Sailing Marine Science Naval Jr. ROTC. A postgraduate grade is also available for international students looking to improve their academics and become better acclimated to American schooling.
